A Matter Of Trust…

A trusted and respected business that carries out domestic and commercial cleaning services, laundry and ironing, plus home help services, works throughout Lancashire providing invaluable support to their many clients

Suzanne Waring and her long-established business the Helping Hands Group, are renowned for delivering the ultimate in customer service. Whether you’re looking for a one-off spring clean, regular cleaning or holiday-home cleaning, immaculate laundry care or simply shopping and companionship for an elderly person, the team at Helping Hands has trust at the heart of everything they do.

Helping Hands was founded by Suzanne 26 years ago and has forged a reputation for robust reliability in all areas.

“The business has grown organically over the years, which I am very proud of,” says Suzanne. “We have one business client who is the MD of a nationwide company. We were first asked to clean his business premises, then his family home, then his holiday home, and then to care for an elderly parent, so it’s nice that Helping Hands has grown in that way. We have also grown through many positive recommendations.

“We are very proud to have the quality of clients that we have – the main outstanding feature of all of our clients is that they are tremendously loyal and supporting of me and my business. We service many types of clients and the team works in large businesses through to traditional family homes. Everyone receives the same standard of service and is valued,” says Suzanne.

“What we do is very much based on trust and what sets us apart is that we listen and are considerate – we focus on what our customers want as well as the practical elements of what needs doing.”

DOMESTIC LAUNDRY SERVICES
As Helping Hands has expanded, Suzanne and her team have moved to bigger premises – most recently they have moved to a purpose-designed space at Whitebirk where a new laundry facility has been established along with an administration hub, which is a hive of activity.

“We have an extremely popular collection and delivery laundry service. All washing and ironing is done in the traditional way – we do everything by hand so if someone likes their shirts ironed a certain way, that’s the way it’s done. If they want us to hang them in the wardrobe or fold and store when we deliver it, then that’s what we do. Nothing is too much trouble.”

DOMESTIC CLEANING
Helping Hands has a vast array of clients whom they clean for and each enjoy the same immaculate customer experience. From making beds, emptying the dishwasher, cleaning the floors and taking the rubbish out, the team makes light work of all the jobs you ask them to do. At one client’s request they even prepare a platter of fresh fruit and place in the fridge ready for the family at the weekend. It’s the little touches that make a big difference!

COMMERCIAL LAUNDRY SERVICES
Helping Hands carries out laundry services for hotels and restaurants and even support them in the short or long term with housekeeping services: “We can fill in the gaps if they are short-staffed,” says Suzanne.

COMMERCIAL CLEANING
Suzanne and the team offer single or multi-site commercial cleaning services for businesses across Lancashire. While this can be more complex than residential cleaning, Helping Hands has stepped up to provide teams that can deal with security and the ‘do’s and don’ts’ of large commercial organisations.

“As with domestic cleaning we can do as much or as little as required. Similarly, we get recommendations from domestic and commercial clients, which leads to more business, which is wonderful for us.”

With a team of 40, work can begin as early as 4.30am for some of Helping Hands’ commercial clients, meaning everything is ship shape by the time they open for business.

HOME HELP
Helping Hands’ Home Help service has become increasingly popular. Not everyone has family to help them – if family members work full time or if they don’t have family to assist them in daily chores such as shopping, meal preparation, housework or even simple companionship, Helping Hands goes the extra mile to make life a little easier. They can support the client’s independence so they can remain living in their own home.

“With the home help side of the business, each client may present different challenges – they may be elderly, infirm, have dementia or simply need help in getting out and about. We can do that and it can make a huge difference to the client and to the family in terms of peace of mind.”
