Adorned with black and white photographs of Hollywood stars on their wedding day, Love Story Bridal in Longridge is so much more than a boutique stocking beautiful wedding gowns!
While owner Stephanie Harlow has created a fabulous destination for brides, it is her personal experience and considered advice that makes Love Story Bridal so special.
Having worked in the industry since she was 16, Stephanie has hand-picked her collection from the respected designers that she has worked alongside during that time.
Beautiful collections from the likes of Sophia Tolli, St Patrick and Casablanca adorn the rails at the Derby Road boutique.
Stephanie’s clever use of glamorous wedding day imagery from times gone by, reflects her ethos that style should be ‘timeless’: “I always advise brides to go for something that will not date – something totally timeless.”
“I want them to look back in 20 years’ time and still love their wedding gown. That comes from working in the industry for so long.”
“Some trends never go out of style and I think at the moment lace is very popular and of course, with Meghan Markle’s gown, the Bardot neckline will be very much on trend this year. It is a timeless look that will always look fabulous!”
Working with designers and bridal seamstresses that she has worked with for many years, Stephanie’s experience shines through when she welcomes brides to Love Story Bridal.
She has great intuition and empathy – especially for the more self-conscious brides: “Girls today are extremely self-conscious and I totally understand that. With social media they have so much to live up to with regards to looks and image.”
By appointment only, brides will be welcomed to the boutique featuring large ornate mirrors and spacious changing rooms. Stocking sizes up to 22, Stephanie advises that brides start their search for the perfect gown around 18 months before the wedding.
“Once they have found their gown, the style tends to run through the whole wedding – everything else starts to slot into place,” she explains.
Also featuring beautiful accessories including beaded belts, sparkling tiaras, bejewelled jackets and veils, as well as a collection of delightful flower girl dresses, Love Story Bridal is the perfect place to find your dream gown.
