DOWN ON THE FARM…
Spend a day down at Mrs Dowsons and explore the farm, see the animals and discover life on the farm
The team at Mrs Dowsons Farm Park are passionate about giving visitors the opportunity to see, touch and engage with the friendly farm animals, explore the countryside and experience a real working farm.
New to Mrs Dowsons is the Big Barn, which is home to donkeys, sheep and alpacas who are waiting for you to come and feed them!
Ever wanted to know why a cow has four stomachs? How we feed the baby calves, or how we farm and conserve the fields and wildlife that call the farm home? We have lots of different talks and activities throughout the day including talks from real farmers.
Take in the fresh country air with a walk on our nature trail and meet some of our animals, big and small, along the way. We also have exciting tractor rides.
As well as listening out for the sounds of the farm and countryside, join the farmer for a fun and educational tour. He’ll tell you all about what it’s like working on a farm, from getting up at 5am to bringing new born calves into the world!
There really is so much to see at Mrs Dowsons Farm Park, with hundreds of animals waiting to meet you and your family. If you’re lucky enough to visit on a day when our tractor is in the fields, you’ll be able to jump on board in the trailer and see all the sights in style – farmer style!
Mrs Dowsons Farm Park is a real working farm which means we’re always busy caring for our friendly animals! You can find out exactly what it’s like to be a farmer, even muck in and help to bottle feed the lambs, feed a hungry alpaca or handle baby chicks – it’s all in a day’s work exploring the farm.
At Mrs Dowsons Farm Park, we make our own award winning ice cream using fresh milk from our farm dairy. Although our ice cream kitchen is off limits due to our top secret recipes, you can treat your little farmers to a fresh and delicious pot or cone in our café!
