Set in a 16th century barn in the picturesque village of Bispham, Owd Barn offers a warm, cosy welcome and in the run up to Christmas why not get into the festive spirt by joining them at its annual Christmas shopping evening on Friday 9th November 6pm-9pm?
Now in its third year, Owd Barn’s annual shopping evening will kick-start your festive season with mulled wine on arrival, gifts galore, gorgeous decorations, festive music and carol singers.
A great opportunity to get some gifts ticked off your list, the evening will give you a chance to browse through its amazing range of homeware, jewellery, candles, clothing, accessories and more. The shopping evening will preview the new autumn/winter stock from accessories brand Powder along with new stockist, Hot Tomato jewellery which offers gold and sparkly fashion led contemporary pieces – perfect for the Christmas season. A cool and quirky range of toiletries from Lake District company Sting in the Tail is also new for this season. Also popular are Pigment’s humorous retro greeting cards with modern humour – great for any occasion as well as Christmas.
During the shopping evening, the tearoom will be serving a limited winter warmer menu including homemade soup and hotpot. You can also enjoy cakes and drinks by the fire to get you feeling even more festive, before having a stroll round the Owd Barn farm shop which is brimming with locally produced and homegrown goods including potatoes, cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli grown on the family’s own 200-acre arable farm. The family has grown pumpkins this year too.
Based on previous years, the Christmas shopping evening is sure to be popular but there’s no need to book, simply turn up on the night to experience all that Owd Barn has to offer. There’s lots of ample parking, too. Last food orders in the tearoom will be at 8pm and last drinks orders at 8.30pm.
As well as the shopping evening, Santa will also be visiting Owd Barn on Saturday 8th December and Saturday 15th December between 12 noon and 3pm – you can meet the big man himself for just £5, including a gift. New for this year, on the same Saturday dates you can also book in for a Christmassy Breakfast with Santa by Owd Barn’s cosy log fire.
