Bioidentical HRT can give relief from a wide range of pre-menopausal and menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, mood changes, weight gain and sleep issues. Dr Helen also offers treatment for another common, potentially embarrassing and inconvenient condition. She explains: “Many women experience ‘waterworks’ symptoms which include what we call stress or urge incontinence. This means they have ‘oops! moments’ when coughing, laughing or sneezing, or need to suddenly rush to the toilet. It is thought that up to 60 per cent of women experience such symptoms.
“There is limited help that can be offered for such problems by the NHS and often women are ashamed and afraid to seek medical care. But now RejuvaMed offers a high-tech treatment which can quickly help solve those problems.”
The clinic has now treated many patients using the 3D-Vjuve, which is the latest addition to 3D’s range of laser systems. The 3D-Vjuve offers an effective vaginal tightening treatment, working in a minimally invasive way to manage a range of post-childbirth and peri-menopausal issues, from incontinence to vaginal atrophy (thinning and inflammation of the vaginal wall) and dryness.
