Sarah Varley talks to Director of Chipping Homes Ken Whitaker as the first families prepare to move in to Fellside, an exclusive new development

“We are doing things differently from a lot of house builders, it is important to us that we do what we can to make positive changes for the environment,” Ken says.
Chipping Homes have also been working with B4RN, a community project to bring fibre-optic broadband to rural areas. “We have incorporated ducting up to every property, so families will be able to sign up to the scheme. Their connection should be better than many places despite the rural location, which is great for flexible working from home or meeting the online demands of teenagers.”
Chipping also has highly Ofsted rated primary schools and Chipping Homes have been working with the children with competitions hoping to inspire a future generation of eco-conscious builders.
