A Commitment To Quality

Sarah Varley meets with Sam Fleuriot to discuss some fabulous new developments and find out what makes Pringle Homes so exceptional

Pringle Homes’ commercial director Sam Fleuriot joined his father Mark in the family business six years ago, having studied real estate at university. What began with a commercial development in Garstang back in 1981 has grown into a company renowned for its stunning family homes that has stayed true to its ethos of great attention to detail and a commitment to working in harmony with the local area.

“As a family run business, we are committed to providing our customers with exemplary service,” Sam tells me. “We specialise in luxury detached residences and our new homes are designed and built to the very highest standard, with the demands of the modern home-owner in mind.”

“Our customers are able to customise their home in many ways, such as through the design and finish of their tiling, kitchen, wardrobe and fireplace choices. We also take all other customer requests into consideration. For example, if someone wants a wall removing between a bedroom or wants to create a dressing room, we can accommodate them. Where most developers avoid customising their homes as much as possible, we believe it’s a great USP for us and means that our customers don’t have to compromise on their new home.”

Pringle Homes is immediately set apart by the way the houses vary and its latest development is a perfect example. Pennington Gardens, situated in the beautiful semi-rural area of Higher Bartle, features just 13 homes, yet incorporates six different house types. The Pringle signature style is arts and crafts with features such as rendered buttress walls and sheltered porches. “We blend the very best in traditional styles, latest innovations and eco-friendly efficiency, to create outstanding quality homes displaying the closest attention to detail,” Sam says.

Pringle Homes differ in the level of care and thought in its developments. “We always go the extra mile when it comes to respecting the local area,” Sam adds. “We take a great deal of care over selecting locations, deliberately keeping our developments small and of the highest quality that blends with the area.”

As Sam explains: “At Pennington Gardens, plot 1, The Turner, faces onto Tabley Lane and we have worked closely with our architects to create a stunning 2,700ft2 bespoke house that really fits the style of the surrounding area, which is predominantly farmhouses and barn conversions. It really blends in and creates a lovely transition between what already exists and the new homes.”

The aim at Pringle Homes is always a quality of build that outshines other new build homes. “Our homes are luxurious and integrated with new environmentally friendly technologies and high levels of insulation, so we are providing our customers with a low maintenance and environmentally friendly, as well as beautiful, new home,” Sam adds. At Pennington Gardens, for example, the properties are all constructed and finished to the highest standard and offer either four or five bedrooms. They have underfloor heating to the ground floor, Duravit sanitary ware in the bathrooms and quartz kitchen work surfaces. All Pringle homes are sold as freehold.

Sam is also looking forward to the completion of Collinwood Gardens, a gated community of just 11 properties in Hutton, this winter. “This is another exclusive and desirable set of luxury homes we are extremely proud of. It is again in a superb location surrounded by luscious countryside. It’s also similar to Pennington Gardens in that it is semi-rural but just 10 minutes drive from Preston city centre, so you have the best of both worlds, whether you feel like shopping, socialising or serenity. Following a very positive customer response, there are only a couple of properties left.”

Looking ahead to the future, Sam is very excited about the prospect of the next Pringle Homes project being in the Ribble Valley at Northcote Park, Langho. “A great deal of thought has gone into the design, practicality and functionality of these extra special homes that we hope will gain the approval of the planners. As always, we have adapted our plans to blend perfectly with the surrounding area, so these homes would be stone and render rather than brick, with natural slate roofs. We’ve just shared one of the house designs on social media and the response has been fantastic.”
