As you step into Owd Barn, the first thing that captures your attention is the delightful aroma. Owd Barn’s tearoom is renowned for its locally sourced and homemade delights, making it a perfect destination for food lovers.

Afternoon tea thrives here, with freshly baked scones and a selection of teas to please any palate. The ambience, complete with wooden beams and cosy furnishings, creates an inviting atmosphere for visitors to enjoy a leisurely home cooked meal.

Owd Barn also boasts a well-stocked farm shop that features an array of locally sourced and homegrown food. “Here you will find homegrown and locally sourced produce that you won’t find in mainstream supermarkets,” stated manager, Helen Charlesworth. Whether you’re looking for fresh vegetables or artisan products, this shop has you covered. With Christmas around the corner, customers can even pre-order vegetable boxes for the festive season, ensuring that your Christmas feast is filled with the finest, local ingredients. On site butcher, Butcher Farrell, is the go-to source for ethically sourced meat, including Christmas turkeys.

Kindling, Christmas trees and homemade wreaths crafted by a local florist are also available to purchase in store.

Above the tea rooms lies the Gift Loft, a treasure trove of unique home interiors and gift items. Here, you’ll discover exquisite finds such as Powder scarves, packaged and ready to delight. A vast array of Stoneglow candles, Hot Tomato Jewellery and the luxury Hoggs of Fife clothing items. The Gift Loft is the perfect place to find thoughtful gifts or to treat yourself to something special. The greeting card room also offers an extensive selection of unique cards, fit for any occasion.

Adjacent to Owd Barn is the Spud Shed, a haven for independent luxury traders. “We wanted to create something special,” said Helen. “We feel the Spud Shed offers customers a variety of luxury services and shops that they won’t find anywhere else.” Here, customers can take their time exploring its offerings whether it be to take some time out for some self-care or to find the perfect gift for family or friends. Vitality Spa offers relaxation and rejuvenation, while The Hair Lab specialises in Aveda products for your hair care needs. Hul and Bert Custom Jewellery showcase unique handcrafted pieces, and Oak Wines offer a selection of unique spirits, craft beer and fine wines. The Busy Bee Boutique Wellbeing Shop is your destination for self-care essentials, and the Yoga Collaboration brings tranquillity to the heart of this rustic shopping centre.
