Whether you choose to marry in the pretty pergola that is the Gibbon Bridge bandstand or in the light and airy orangery which opens up onto the terrace with stunning views, there is no doubt that this is a very special wedding venue.
Gibbon Bridge gives couples the reassurance that, whatever the weather, your wedding will be perfect. The lovely orangery, with its spotless white walls, wedding drapes, apple blossom trees and romantic flickering candles, forms the perfect blank canvas for brides to add their own personal touches.
It is a long-standing favourite of many couples who are looking for a venue that they can trust to create their perfect day. Couples don’t just get a wedding co-ordinator at Gibbon Bridge, they get a whole team, who are dedicated to making the wedding day, and the run up to it, stress free and fun!
As part of the build-up to the big day couples are invited to a wedding taster evening, usually held in springtime. They can bring family and friends, or come à deux, but it gives them an opportunity to sample the various dishes and wines available, which hopefully makes choosing their wedding breakfast easier!
The evening kicks off with Prosecco and canapes (which they can also choose for their wedding) followed by their choices from the wedding menus. Whether it be pork belly with apple and crackling, shin of beef or sausage and mash, all the food is freshly prepared and the choice of desserts (made in the on-site bakery) can be a difficult one with couples often deciding on the ‘assiette’ which is made up of three mini-desserts of their choice.
Proprietor Janet Simpson and the head chef are always available to discuss menu requirements if you want to design your own menu or have a specific request.
Entertainment, from recommended suppliers, can also be provided too.
There is only ever one wedding a day and with 30 luxury bedrooms available, it is the perfect exclusive venue for weddings. Those wanting to stay the night before can enjoy their own alfresco dining in the side garden. The perfect start to the celebrations!
And new to the Gibbon Bridge is the Bliss bridal apartment, where the bride-to-be and the main bridal party can stay in this relaxed, calming space as they prepare for the big day.
