As the colder weather approaches it’s time to get wrapped up warm from head to toe. Put the sandals and flip flops away for another year and dig out winter shoes and boots.

Specialist shoe shop ShoeMed offer a range of footwear which is ideal for the colder months. A wide range of styles, widths and colours are available for both men and women. ShoeMed have something for everyone, from casual to smart and even occasion and party shoes for the upcoming festive season. Brands include Finn Comfort, Legero, Joya, Waldlaufer, Semler, Drucker and DB wider fit shoes.

Husband and wife team Julia and Neil Howarth pride themselves on their outstanding fitting service. They offer a full complimentary consultation, where each professional shoe fitter will spend 40-50 minutes, or more if necessary, getting to know the individual’s needs.

Julia tells me: “We like to spend time with any new clients to get to know the customer’s feet history, if they have any pain or problems. This helps us to find the shoe that will fit correctly.”

ShoeMed work closely with podiatrists and GPs who refer many of their patients to Julia and Neil. The team have a wide knowledge on many conditions that can cause your feet problems from diabetes to Plantar Fasciitis.

“We work with customers who have problems with, or spend a lot of time on their feet as well as customers who just want comfortable shoes,” adds Julia.

In addition ShoeMed offers a collection of accessories including Sockwell Graduated Compression socks. These luxurious travel socks are made with bamboo and merino wool fibres and come in stylish designs. Sockwell is ideal for feet who need compression throughout the day and for sports recovery. Other accessories include a range of insoles and recommended creams and sprays, all of which work well with the shoes.

After a successful 18 months in business ShoeMed have decided to expand their team and have taken on a new member, Julie Goodwin. This means that the shop will be able to provide a third fitting area for customers. The addition to the team also gives Julia and Neil more time to spend on visits, or to give talks to local groups and businesses.

Gift vouchers are available. No appointments are necessary, but please allow at least 40-50 minutes for your full fitting service. All customers are welcome to use the pay and display car park adjacent to the shop.

Visit ShoeMed today to find shoes that will perfectly fit you without compromising on style! ShoeMed – so much more than just shoes.
