As the region’s leading independent menswear store, Scruples 1984 has forged a reputation for stocking some of the most exclusive international brands.

Their latest A/W collections are no exception – in fact the team at Scruples have once again excelled bringing in pre-collections to boost stock with unique pieces in the run-up to Christmas.

Store manager Tom Orrell explains: “This year we have introduced pre-collections – the idea being to bring in exclusive top-ups as the season progresses. At the beginning of November these new pieces will start to arrive and our regular customers who call in frequently, will always have something new to see, plus we have access to additional pieces which are added mid-season, to allow more exclusivity within each capsule collection.”

Pre-collections for Paul & Shark, French-Canadian outerwear brand Mackage, Tramarossa, Belstaff, ETON and Scruples own tailoring label, Rupert Totti will all be available: “We have just launched Rupert Totti Black Label,” says Tom. “A total re-brand focusing more on our tailored garments and it’s totally exclusive.”

CIRCOLO
Italian-manufactured Circolo is renowned for a smart casual aesthetic, and it’s a label that Tom is really excited about: “We have changed the way we buy Circolo, which has made it significantly better and very on-trend. It’s a mid-priced collection featuring lovely jackets and blazers with stretch, making them ultimately wearable and versatile.”

CANALI
Scruples’ premium Italian tailoring label, Canali, is famed for beautiful Italian cloths and styling. This season Canali’s collection is, says Tom, simply wonderful: “We have introduced a Canali leather jacket, which is out of this world. Canali is always very reactive to the season’s colourways in the way we house it and with that, we have a fantastic range on offer.

“There is a jacket with a tweed aesthetic featuring tones of forest green, plus an exquisite double breasted navy pinstripe suit which can be worn for special occasions or separately, wearing the jacket on its own for a more casual look. The navy pinstripe is definitely my star pick this season! It’s fabulous!”

ETON
While Eton shirts at Scruples are always a firm favourite among customers, this brand has excelled with the latest collection. Tom adds: “They’re perfect for the party season with some great prints complemented by crisp, white collar and cuffs – they’re exceptionally smart but can be worn casually too.”

HERNO & MACKAGE
Outerwear brand Herno has absolutely taken off at Scruples with its smart day-to-day collection that is ultimately wearable. “There is no crossover with our other outerwear collection from Mackage,” explains Tom. “They are both very different.”

The Mackage outerwear collection is more heavy duty and there are some real stand-out pieces that are designed with performance in mind: “They’re effective to minus 25 degrees so they’ve proved to be exceptionally popular and limited-edition colourways make it stand out as a favourite during the colder months. Additional pieces arriving mid-November are very exciting too!”

PAUL & SHARK
Scruples has one of the largest collections of popular Paul & Shark in the north: “We have smashed it!” says Tom. “It’s our biggest collection ever and with Pierce Brosnan plus his son now the face of Paul & Shark, it’s more popular than ever with each piece truly reflecting the quality. There is a fabulous four-pocket quilted overshirt that we have here at Scruples. Being quilted it’s more of an outerwear piece and looks stunning – you’ll catch Pierce himself wearing it throughout the promotion.”

JEANS
Scruples have a wide collection of premium denim and cashmere blends from Richard J Brown, Paige, Hand Picked, Jacob Cohen and Tramarossa, famed for their super-stretch fabrics. However, this year Tramarossa have introduced different fabrics including moleskin, corduroy, checks and chino styles with prints to mix it up slightly.

TOM FORD
Scruples introduced Tom Ford eyewear earlier this year making the Barrowford store the go-to retailer for men’s sunglasses. With the ski season and crisp bright autumn days ahead, check out the fabulous Tom Ford collection! Scruples has some very limited pieces and they haven’t shied away from some truly quirky pieces!

FOOTWEAR AT SCRUPLES
To elevate Scruples’ footwear offering, the store has added two small footwear collections from Canali and Herno to complement their existing collections by Jeffery West.

ELLIOTT RHODES
To add style and exclusivity to any outfit, Scruples has some fabulous belts by designer Elliott Rhodes. For the party season there are prints, leather and totally exclusive, authentic croc and stingray belts – very limited!

Call in to meet Tom, Scruples founder Stephen Collins and the enthusiastic team who will be delighted to introduce you to the latest exclusive collections!
